Like most great things, our beginnings are humble – two boys and a junked tractor. One fall afternoon two brothers saw their next door neighbor putting a lawn tractor out at the curb. With the creativity and determination that defines childhood, the two boys set out to rebuild and ride the tractor. Later that week at a neighborhood gathering, the conversation inevitably turns to the boys and their tractor. As the group marvels at the boy’s ingenuity, the idea of a tractor race is brought up. Within just a few weeks, the two boys and a group of neighbors did just that and had the first annual tractor race in Kimberton, PA.

The pictures say it all. Any time you can bring a group of people together to just have fun it is a good thing. But, if we can have fun and help those in need it becomes a GREAT THING! This is why Tractor Racing for Charity was created.

This year we are opening up this event to the entire region. Our goal is to raise money for two worthy causes: the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and St. Mary’s Shelter located in Phoenixville, PA. Through both worthy causes we are proud to give back to the community. St. Mary’s has been helping homeless families in the area for over 20 years and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is steadfastly working towards cure for a disease that is taking our society by storm. Juvenile Diabetes is especially challenging for the children who effected by it and is caused by a number of reasons not just obesity.

My goal is for Tractor Racing for Charity is to grow and start one neighborhood at a time, one community at a time to develop a channel for people just like my family to give back to those in need. With your help we can continue to rise from our humble beginnings and bring joy and hope to all communities. Thank you in advance for taking the time to visit our site and I hope I see you out in your neighborhood having fun, building your community and making a difference in people’s lives.

Best Wishes,
